We believe that God is already actively working in lives
of people groups around the world and that he will reveal specific areas where
He wants us to be a part of this work.
We believe in the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 19-20) to go unto all
the world sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. Our goal is to make available to our
membership the opportunities in international mission activities where God is
actively working. We desire to meet the
physical needs of lost people, so they can see the love of God through us and
allow us the opportunity to share the message of Christ with them.
Existing
& Past International Mission Activities:
Supporting
the work of missionaries called from WBC to full time mission work. Right now we have three families that God has
called to full time mission work in Africa (Uganda/Sudan, Papua New Guinea
& Indonesia) that we support with our prayers and financially through
periodic love offerings.
Over
the past seven years we have been in a mission partnership with a sister
church, Iglesia Tabernaculo Evangelico, in Managua, Nicaragua. Within this partnership, every summer a WBC mission team has spent a week of evangelism, Vacation Bible Schools and
construction projects with this church and their Christian school.
Prior
to our partnership with Iglesia Tabernaculo Evangelico, we made several mission
trips to Nicaragua with the Chosen Children’s Ministries out of Texas. We still have members of our church that are
actively involved in this ministry to homeless children of that country.
